FEBRUARY INTENTIONS
We are grateful for the powerful experience of the men who attended the ACTS retreat and for the witness and safe travels of those from our parish who attended the March for Life. We also thank the Holy Spirit for all that he will continue to do in the hearts of our young parishioners who received the Sacrament of Confirmation. As we enter the holy season of Lent, let us remember the words of St. Paul: “You are not your own; you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.” 1 Cor 6:20
Please say the Parish Prayer daily for the following intentions in February:
• For safety for everyone during the Mardi Gras holidays, both those who are traveling and those who are staying home.
• For all our parishioners, that we truly avail ourselves of the opportunity offered by Lent to reflect on our lives and accept the Lord’s invitation and grace to be more like Him.
• For all who will attend The Rescue Project mini-retreat, that they have a new experience of the Holy Spirit’s power and the love of God.
• For the spiritual renewal that is occurring in SCS parish to lead to parishioners becoming bold witnesses in our community to the Good News of our redemption by Jesus Christ.
• For renewed peace and unity in the Church, our country, and around the world, for an end to division, and for true conversion of heart for all who promote causes that are contrary to the human dignity of every person.
• For the protection of priests, deacons, staff and ministry leaders at SCS as they work to facilitate in our parish the growth of a culture that nurtures the development of disciples of Jesus; for Dcn. Don Richard as he continues treatment for cancer; and for Fr. Ronnie, that he may be filled with Christ’s grace and peace.
God Our Father, we thank you for our parish community of St. Catherine of Siena. Thank you for the many blessings that you have given us, but especially for calling us to serve as disciples of your son, Jesus Christ. As we gather today, we ask that you send your Holy Spirit to guide us in everything that we do. Transform our hearts and lead us closer to you. Help us always to seek to be a parish that is Centered on Christ and Ablaze with Love. We ask all of these things in the name of Jesus, and through the intercession of our Blessed Mother. St. Catherine of Siena, pray for us!
