Alpha 15 is in Full Swing!!
The Alpha 15 course began on Tuesday, January 7. The response has been overwhelming! Like each previous Alpha here at St. Catherine, we will witness people grow in their faith and come to a deeper relationship with Jesus through the time spent watching the videos and sharing at their tables. In addition, friendships will be formed through these shared experiences.
If you or someone you know is interested in having a similar experience, it's never to early to tell them that they can register on line for Alpha 16 which will happen in the fall of 2025. The dates for that session have not been recorded yet, but as soon as they are, they will be posted here. Because our Alpha courses tend to fill, don't hesitate to get your name in now. You won't regret it!!

What is Alpha?
Alpha is an opportunity to explore life and the Catholic Christian faith in a friendly, open and informal environment. It has borne great fruit over its more than 20 year history. Alpha provides the time and space to consider and discuss the “big questions” in life: What is the meaning of life? Why am I here? Who is the Holy Spirit?
For those who are already practicing Catholics, Alpha offers an opportunity to consider what we believe and why we believe it, and allows us to renew our openness to the Holy Spirit in our daily lives. Alpha is designed to meet everyone where they are and invite them to grow ever closer to Jesus.
So as to avoid any confusion, Alpha is not a Bible study or Catholic education course. All adults are welcome, regardless whether single, married, widowed, divorced, strong in your faith, searching for God in your life, or just starting out on your faith journey. Just like the words of the Church song, "All Are Welcome in This Place."
Alpha takes place over 11 weekly sessions and a “weekend retreat” (a Friday evening and Saturday). Each session runs from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm and includes sharing a meal, watching a video, and discussing the video in a small group setting. Participants find the videos to be engaging and the format to be fun and interesting. Take a look at the trailer below to get the “feel” of Alpha. Then don't wait - sign up now! -

No. You may remain silent the entire time if you wish..
How long is an Alpha session?
Sessions last approximately 1.5-2 hours. They go by quickly. We start on time and always end on time.
Who should register for Alpha?
Anyone over the age of 18 can register. Everyone is welcome - women, men, married couples, and single adults.
How much does Alpha cost?
Alpha is free!
I am coming and will not know anybody else. Is that normal?
Yes. Most people come to Alpha without knowing anybody else in the course. By the end of the course, most people become good friends. Alpha is a great way to meet new people.
Can I just "come and see" for the first week?
Yes. Just register to let us know you’re coming (so we have enough food prepared for you).What if I go for a week or two and don’t want to continue?
Is childcare available?
If you don’t want to continue after a week or two, no worries. We will not call you or bother you if you don’t come back.
Yes, childcare will be available in the CYO Youth Room.
