St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Parish exists to form and send forth a community of disciples of Jesus Christ who witness by joyfully living the Gospel.
Where we are going, as a parish, through 2021:
Pope Francis urges us to seek a “friendship with Jesus Christ.” In her writing, St. Catherine of Siena challenges us to “be who God created you to be and you will set the world on fire.” With the wisdom of Pope Francis and our patroness St. Catherine, we will indeed deepen our relationship with Jesus and become who we are intended to be as a community of Disciples.
What we will be addressing and developing over the next 24 – 36 months:
As a faith community, we will grow as Disciples of Jesus by developing a personal relationship with him, living according to Gospel values and joyfully sharing the Gospel with others.
Goal 1: Establish and achieve benchmarks for a comprehensive youth ministry.
Goal 2: Double the number of people in the ongoing adult faith formation program.
As a worshiping community, we will develop a welcoming and prayerful Sunday experience with, vibrant preaching, music and ministries giving life to the parish community.
Goal 1: Establish and achieve benchmarks for a comprehensive music ministry that sets and realizes an identity and vision for each Mass.
Goal 2: Establish and achieve standards for a welcoming and prayerful environment before, during and after all weekend Masses.
As a blessed community, we will share the extraordinary gifts that God has bestowed on us by reaching out to others both within and outside of our parish boundaries.
Goal 1: Establish and train a Leadership Team that coordinates all parish outreach ministries and educates parishioners in Catholic social teaching.
Goal 2: Double the number of people participating in our outreach ministries, serving both in and beyond our parish boundaries.
