Msgr. Roger A. Swenson, our Pastor, died the morning of March 9, 2010. Today there will be visitation beginning at 6:30 p.m. At 7:00 p.m. there will be a Vigil Service. After the service, visitation will continue until 10:00 p.m. On Saturday, March 13th, visitiation will continue from 8:00 a.m. until 10.00 a.m. At 10:00 a.m. the Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Most Rev. Gregory M. Aymond, 14th Archbishop of New Orleans. Relatives, friends, Clergy and Religious of the Archdiocese of New Orleans, parishioners of St. Catherine of Siena Parish, and former parishioners of Msgr. Swenson are invited to attend the Visitation and Funeral Mass at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 105 Bonnable Blvd, Metairie, LA.

Beginning this Sunday, our Parish Mission will begin at 7:00 p.m. We are pleased to have Fathers John Kuehner, C.Ss.R., and Gan Nguyen, C. Ss.R, conducting our Mission this year. Please plan on attending and encourage all of your friends to do the same. This year we shall stress our picture as a family. The theme is:
"RENEW OUR PARISH.....MAKE US FAMILY"
The mission will continue through the week and will conclude on Thursday evening with Mass. We encourage as many families as possible to attend. This would be a tremendous experience for all families in our parish and any other parish. Indeed, we invite people of all faiths to attend.

All Masses will begin with the blessing of palms in the Melancon Center. All who are able to do so should meet in the Melancon Center and join in the procession to the church. Palms for those who are unable to meet in the Melancon Center will be distributed by volunteers at each of the Masses.
Our Mass schedule is a 4:00 p.m. Vigil Mass and Masses on Sunday are at 7, 9, 11:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
